A significant new addition to the rear façade of a house originally built in 1908.
The program brief from my clients was simple. They wanted a new family room, a new primary bedroom suite, and a roof deck for a hot tub, and to access the available territorial views. The simple solution was to add a distinct new addition attached to the rear of the existing structure.
The ground level of the new addition features a large family room, the second level is the new primary bedroom suite, and the roof deck crowns all on the third level. It has access to incredible views of Lake Washington and the Cascades, Mount Rainier, and the downtown Seattle skyline. A three story stair tower on the eastern façade connects all the levels, The project was completed in the autumn of 2018.
