This project significantly expanded and updated an existing single story home in the Greenwood area of Seattle, originally built in the 1940’s. The existing house was a very plain and unassuming structure that that my clients family had already outgrown. We removed the existing roof, and then lifted the ground floor structure to place all new foundations. This was necessary to support the new structural loading of the new second story. The new second story features 3 kids bedrooms, a family room, play loft, hall bath, and the primary bedroom suite for the owners. The primary suite was capped with a new roof deck, to provide added entertainment space, and access to the territorial views of the surrounding neighborhood. This project was completed in the summer of 2022.
